Daily Poll 959: What Do You Think About Late-Stage Capitalism?
Capitalism the voluntary exchange of privately owned goods and services on a free market. In terms of economic systems it’s the only one that can actually work but will have problems because humans are flawed and anything they do will be flawed. Most modern first world countries are mixed economies with varying degrees of government control over the market and social programs. America isn’t really a capitalist country; it’s a corporate oligarchy but the term Late-Stage Capitalism floats around to describe this and to use our current situation to demonize free exchange and push Communism.
