Daily Poll 1451: Should the Drinking Age Be Lowered?
In the US the drinking age is 21. It used to be 18 but it was raised to prevent teenage drinking around the 80s. The Federal government used the federal highway funds was able to cajole all the states into doing this. I do think if 18 year olds are allowed to join the military then they can buy and consume alcohol. Alcohol can be enjoyed in moderation and that needs to be more understood in our culture rather than just barring young people from drinking which happens anyway. What do you think?
