Daily Poll 1241: What Do You Think of Natural Theology?
Natural theology is the practice of proving God without divine revelation. Thomas Aquinas was a famous proponent of natural theology. While creation does testify to the Creator; it does not lead one to divine revelation. Natural theology alone can only justify a generic deistic God or gods. It’s the biggest reason I’m hesitant to sign off on it especially when God has provided us with a plethora of divine revelation. What do you think?
