Daily Poll 1240: What Do You Think of Infant Baptism?
Infant baptism is a practice that’s rooted in ancient Christianity. It’s also one of the practices that evangelical Protestantism has shirked away from. The argument against infant baptism is that since baptism is how you’re joined to Christ and saved; it must be intentional from whose receiving the baptism. The argument for infant baptism is that since baptism replaces circumcision as the sign of the new covenant and with circumcision having been performed on infants then baptism can as well. I agree with this especially adding into the fact that Jesus was very clear that children are the most deserving of the kingdom of God.
