Daily Poll 1161: Would First Contact with Aliens Be Peaceful?
Extra terrestrial contact has been a hot topic in fiction and the subject of much speculation in reality. While many insist that we’ve already made contact with aliens and the state has hid the evidence. The mainstream view is that so far we are alone in the universe to our knowledge and waiting to make first contact. The question then becomes if that first encounter with aliens would be peaceful. I would think so as any species advanced enough to traverse the cosmos has probably evolved past any benefits from war. What do you think? Don’t forget to vote on the poll and to comment below!

If they act peaceful; it’s only temporary for them to read out our weaknesses and further plot for their agenda.
Kind of like a more passive aggressive Independence Day; but they want to measure our potential threat to them before they get serious.
Every race in the universe has a top of the food chain ideology!
That in mind of exoteric and esoteric awareness.

I do not believe in aliens, but I read the 3 Body Problem… which sounds logical… so if aliens exist, it is likely we will not be able to understand one another to the degree that we can trust one another, so the aliens will see other aliens as a threat. If the other aliens are powerful, they are a powerful threat and should be destroyed ASAP.
