Daily Poll 1146: Is the Filioque Legitimate Dogma?
The Filioque is the doctrine that insists that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Son as well as the Father. This was added to the Nicene Creed by the Pope in the 11th century which was the basis for the Great Schism. As I’ve become interested in the history of apostolic Christianity I’ve done some minor look into theology and I think the filioque compromises the theological framework of the trinity.
